Privacy policy
1. What we collect
• Guest account: when you first open the game, your device gets a random account ID (an anonymous account). It is not tied to your name, email or phone number; your name and scores are stored under it. You never need to sign in or give us an email address. • Your username and tag: shown publicly in games and on the leaderboards. You pick the name or the game gives you a dessert-themed one; the tag (e.g. #8KQ2P) is generated from your account ID. • Your game scores: points, the biggest dessert you reached, your challenge level and the date. • Prizes: a record of the prizes you collected for finishing first on a leaderboard (which board and period). • Settings on your device: sound, music, language, vibration, records and an unfinished game are stored only on your phone and are never sent to us. • Name reports: if you report an inappropriate name on a leaderboard, the reported and the reporting player's name, tag and account ID, the board and the time are recorded.
2. How we use it
We use your information only to recognise you, show your name and scores, build the leaderboards, give prizes to the winners and review reported names. We never email you. We do not sell your data.
3. Ads
The game is free and supported by ads. It shows ads between games and optional rewarded ads (extra spatula, extra strainer). Ads are served by Google AdMob. To show and count ads and to prevent abuse, Google may process device information, app interactions, approximate location (from your IP address) and, if you allow it, your advertising identifier. On iPhone the advertising identifier is only used if you allow tracking in Apple's prompt; otherwise you see non-personalised ads. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland ads are shown according to your consent; you can change it in Settings > Support & privacy > Ad choices. Details: Google's privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
4. Usage statistics
To improve the game we collect usage statistics with Google Firebase Analytics: how often and how long the game is opened, which modes are played, scores and desserts reached, events such as watching rewarded ads and sharing, device model, operating system and approximate location (country). This data is linked to an app instance ID, not to your name, email or phone number. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland statistics are collected according to your choice in the ad consent form.
5. Our website
When you visit baklavadrop.web.app, visit statistics are collected with Google Analytics only if you choose "Accept" in the cookie banner: which pages are viewed, clicks on the App Store button, device and browser type and approximate location (country). This data is not used for ads. If you choose "Decline" or make no choice, Google Analytics is not loaded and no cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of the page.
Playing in the browser (baklavadrop.web.app/oyna): the trial version on the website does not create an account, does not ask for a name, shows no ads and does not send your score to the leaderboard. Your best score and sound choices are stored only in your browser (local storage) and are not sent to us; they are lost if you clear your browser data. The game's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts servers, so Google can see your browser's IP address and browser details. If you accepted cookies, statistics are also collected in the game with Google Analytics: game start and end, score, the biggest dessert reached and clicks on "Get the app". It is the same choice as on the website, and you can also make it in the box at the bottom of the game.
6. Where it is stored
Account and score data are stored with Google Firebase services (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore) on servers in Europe. Google processes this data on our behalf.
7. Who can see it
Your username, tag and leaderboard scores are visible to all players.
8. Notifications
If the daily reminder is on, your phone shows a reminder every evening at 20:00. It is scheduled on your phone; no information is sent to us. You can turn it off in Settings at any time.
9. Deleting your data
Settings > Account > Delete my data permanently deletes your account, username and leaderboard entries. Name report records may be kept to review abuse; write to us if you want them deleted. Settings and records on your device are removed when you uninstall the app. Your account is tied to your device: if you change phones or uninstall the app on Android, it cannot be accessed again; on iPhone, deleting and reinstalling the app usually brings it back. To remove it for good, use Delete my data. If you cannot access your account, send a deletion request to baklavadrop@gmail.com; for a guest account, include your name and tag.
10. Children
The game is not directed at children under 13. You must be over 13 or have a parent's permission to create an account. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we delete it.
11. Changes and contact
If we update this policy we publish it in the app and on our website with a new date. For questions and data requests: baklavadrop@gmail.com
