A dough of flour, semolina and butter is shaped into ovals, scored with parallel lines, baked and soaked in syrup while hot. Some recipes top it with a hazelnut or an almond.

Semolina is roasted in butter and cooked with sweetened milk or water. It is pressed into a mold while hot, turned out and dusted with cinnamon; some recipes also add pine nuts.

A street dessert made by frying dough in a ring shape and dipping it in syrup, crisp outside and soft inside. The ridges on top hold the syrup well.

A soft semolina cake made with eggs and sugar, baked and soaked in syrup. Its top caramelizes to an orange color, and it is served with coconut and crushed pistachios.

A yeast batter is dropped into hot oil in small balls with a spoon or by hand, then dipped into cold syrup once golden. Crisp outside, soft and syrupy inside; topped with ground pistachio or cinnamon.

Rice pudding cooked with milk, rice and sugar, then baked in a clay dish until the top turns dark golden. It is served with crushed hazelnuts on the creamy surface.

A hot dessert made with shredded kadayıf, cheese, butter and syrup.

A pastry made of thin sheets of dough layered with walnuts or pistachios and butter, baked and then soaked in syrup.
